Ladle & Tundish Covering Flux is a kind of auxiliary material for steelmaking. Ladle &Tundish Covering Flux is composed of CaO, SiO2, Al2O3, MgO and proper quantity cosolvents, with the sequential process of crushing, grinding, mixing, granulating and packing.

Ladle & Tundish Covering Flux Application
Ladle & Tundish Covering Flux is added to the surface of tundish molten steel. There are three main functions of Ladle & Tundish Covering Flux. Firstly, it plays a role of thermal insulation and reducing heat loss; secondly, Ladle & Tundish Covering Flux can prevent reoxidation of molten steel by isolating molten steel from air; finally, Ladle &Tundish Covering Flux can get rid of inclusions in steel and purify molten steel.

According to the different content of carbon, the Ladle & Tunish Covering Flux could be divided into ordinary series, low carbon series, super low carbon series, and no carbon series; and according to the grain shape, it could be grouped into hollow granular ones, solid residue shape ones, and powdery ones. Among them, the super low carbon series avoid carbureting harm in the carbonization process of rice hull. Meanwhile the no carbon and low silicon alkaline particles Tundish & Ladle Covering Flux completely adopts the no carbon raw materials, and has the characteristics of thermo stability, doesn’t crusting, good spread ability, strong insulating ability, doesn’t stick to the wall, low decrease of the liquid steel, doesn’t erosion ladle and long nozzle, etc and it could be adapted to the liquid surface protection of the ladle and tundish matched with the low carbon and super low carbon steel.

 Characteristics for Ladle & Tundish Covering Flux
1.Good insulating performance, and the temperature decrease of the liquid is less than 0.5℃/min.
2. This product is pre-melting materials, and has the characteristics of stable elements, melt evenly, low harmful ingredients of P and S.
3. The product is hollow particle products, density and specific gravity, no melt steel splash when added, good working environment no pollution, safe, without adverse effects to the melt steel.
4. Circular particle, have good fluidity, in a loose state after added, good spread ability, could quickly and completely cover the melt steel, no dust float in the sky when added, no pollution.
